Practice EHR is excited to introduce the following updates in the March 2025 release
Practice EHR is committed to continuously improving the platform to enhance operational efficiency, user experience, and patient care.
The latest updates in Practice EHR include enhancements to the document viewer section, patient communication, importation of DOCX files, and macro functionalities. These improvements aim to streamline document management, enhance communication with patients, and improve overall efficiency for healthcare providers.
The Document Viewer section in Practice EHR has been enhanced to allow users to link documents directly to the appropriate patient and document type, streamlining documentation management and improving provider efficiency.
Previously, documents viewed in the Document Viewer could not be directly linked to a patient record or assigned a document type. This created manual overhead for providers who had to manage document associations through separate steps.
With the new enhancement, users can now:
This improvement significantly reduces manual effort, enhances accuracy in documentation, and provides greater convenience for providers by enabling seamless association of documents to patient records within the same screen.
To link a document to a patient and assign it a document type, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Document.
Click on the Document, it will be open in the Document viewer section.
Step 2: Select the Patient.
Click on the "Select Patient" field, and a Patient Search will be open where user can search the Patient and choose the appropriate patient from the list.
Step 3: Choose the Document Type.
Use the Document Type dropdown to select the correct type for the document.
Step 4: Link Document.
Once both the patient and document type are selected, click on the Link Document Button and it will be linked to the selected patient and document type, accordingly.
Step 5: View Linked Document
Once the document is linked, when the "View Document" is selected, the Document Viewer will display both the Linked Patient Name and the Document Type, providing a clear identification of the associated details as shown below.
The email notification system in Practice EHR has been improved to dynamically update the email subject line and body content based on the status, offering a more professional and contextual communication experience.
Previously, emails sent from the system contained static subject lines and body text, regardless of the statuses. This sometimes-caused confusion or lacked the clarity needed for effective communication.
With the new enhancement, users can now:
By aligning email content with the status of the task, users receive more clear, relevant, and professional communication, reducing ambiguity and enhancing workflow efficiency.
