Introducing AI Check-In with Intelligent ID & Insurance Capture

Practice EHR introduces AI Check-In, purpose-built to eliminate manual data entry by instantly extracting patient information from driver’s licenses and insurance cards—and automatically populating it into the patient chart.

This feature pairs seamlessly with our Kiosk experience, ensuring patient identity and insurance data is captured accurately before the visit begins.

Automatic Chart Population from Photos

With AI Check-In, patients simply take a photo of their:

  • Driver’s License
  • Insurance Card (front and back)

Using advanced AI document recognition, Practice EHR instantly reads the images and maps each data point to the correct chart fields, including:

  • Patient name and date of birth
  • Address and ID details
  • Insurance provider, member ID, group number, and plan information

No scanning. No typing. No copy-paste errors.

Flexible Check-In: Remote or Kiosk-Based

Patients can complete AI Check-In in two ways:

  • Before arrival via a secure link sent automatically
  • In-office using the Practice EHR Kiosk

In both cases, the experience is the same—patients upload their documents, and the system does the rest. All extracted data syncs instantly to the EHR, ready for staff review.
