Practice EHR is excited to share the latest updates in the April 2022 release! This release includes enhancements to improve the efficiency of the clinical note and self-guided purchase options for new clients. The new features are visible to all Practice EHR clients.
1) Link Assessment to Treatment Plan – Currently, the diagnosis codes assigned to the assessment are only available in the sentence view as a list of diagnosis codes. This release allows providers to link a diagnosis/condition to an individual treatment plan to help support the medical necessity for multiple conditions managed within a single visit.
The provider will assign the diagnosis codes within the assessment section, then select the system default plan section.
If the system default plan section is no longer within a specific template, a provider may select “Add Section” and bring this individual section into the desired note.
Selecting the Type 'Assessment', the provider will be able to see each of the assigned ICD-10 codes within the drop-down field. Each diagnosis code can be selected with an individual plan added to the comment box. When the comments are added by choosing either Order or Order and Save, the information will be available within the sentence view and final copy of the visit note.
2) Re-order ICD-10 Codes in Assessment – The sequence of the diagnosis codes on the Encounter form is consistent with the sequence of the codes within Today's Assessment. This release will allow the provider to sequence the codes to match the priorities or focus of the evaluation using the up/down arrows in the Action column.
3) Fax Multiple Labs – Multiple laboratory tests can be sent in a single fax using a new fax button on the Pending Requisition window. Each individual test will be combined into a single requisition for the fax transmission. Tests that need to be sent on a separate requisition can be selected separately.
4) Self-Guided Purchase Options – New clients will be able to upgrade a trial version of the software to a fully licensed version from within Practice EHR. This enhancement allows the client to select the desired plan (i.e., EHR, PM), the number of providers, and additional services (i.e., Telehealth or Kiosk). The total amount is displayed on the screen and can be paid through Credit Card/ACH without the assistance of a sales executive.
Future enhancements to this new workflow will also allow the client to add and purchase additional provider software licenses without contacting a sales executive.
